Overview
Overview
Venice is a testament to the strength of the Italian will. This stunning and historic city is quite literally under water, though that has hardly stopped it from remaining one of Italy’s foremost tourist destinations. Water taxis and gondolas traverse the city’s famous boroughs, which are lined with charming plazas and artful churches. In the historic San Marco Square you will find the San Marco Basilica, Venice’s icon which took over 800 years to complete. The city is also filled with hundreds of street musicians who offer the perfect soundtrack for people-watching and drinking wine at an outdoor café.

Activities & Tourist Attractions
Activities
Getting from one destination to the next is half the fun in Venice, so enjoy the romantic gondola and water taxis rides through the city’s meandering canals. On land (which is albeit a loose term in Venice), waterfront palazzos and historic churches look like paintings come to life and are brimming with colorful Venetian tales. San Marco square is a must-see with its 800-year old basilica, high-end shopping, and phenomenal street musicians. And of course, being Italian, the city has endless restaurants to eat and drink your way through.
